The Garden of Earthly Delights Wall Art Set
About the Artwork
The Garden of Earthly Delights is the modern title given to a triptych oil painting on oak panels by Early Netherlandish master Hieronymus Bosch. It is thought to have been created between 1490 & 1510 when Bosch was 40-60yrs old. It has been housed in the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Spain since 1939.
About the Artist
Hieronymus Bosch (c.1450–1516) was a Dutch painter renowned for his fantastical, symbolic, and often surreal depictions of morality, sin, and human folly. His intricate panels, such as The Garden of Earthly Delights, combine religious allegory with nightmarish imagination. Bosch’s unique style, blending late medieval and early Renaissance influences, profoundly shaped later artists, especially the Surrealists, centuries after his death.
